Programs and Projects

COOPERATIVES DEVELOPMENT

The program primarily aims towards socio-economic development and strengthening community based organizations.  It aims in developing self-reliance and create an atmosphere where members participate in decision-making.   Components of this are promotion and development of credit, consumers’ marketing, producers’ and service cooperatives.

LIVELIHOOD DEVELOPMENT

This program puts emphasis on providing self-employment opportunities and increase production capacities.  It shall encourage development of micro enterprises, household industries, entrepreneurship, food production and processing craftsmanship in wood, rattan, shell and handicrafts.   Non-formal/informal education, skills specialization, and managerial capacity will be provided for to insure viability of project.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Research, education for development, trainings, seminars, community organizing, capability building and advisory services are its main components.  This program identifies, trains and develops qualified community leaders and self-help groups to enhance their technical and managerial capabilities towards organization, growth, and development of self-reliant and self-sustaining communities.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Under this program, project-to-project implementation is undertaken on health and sanitation, appropriate technology, agro-aqua marine development, small infrastructure and environment protection and development.   Partnership and linkages with GO’s, NGO’s with same or similar undertaking are being forged and strengthened.
